Peter Moore being questioned on the Xbox failure rates…
“I can’t comment on failure rates, because it’s just not something - it’s a moving target. What this consumer should worry about is the way that we’ve treated him. Y’know, things break, and if we’ve treated him well and fixed his problem, that’s something that we’re focused on right now. I’m not going to comment on individual failure rates because I’m shipping in 36 countries and it’s a complex business.”
With words like that, I am just happy I still have mine under warranty.

1up.com does a little video preview review, as I watched one big thing I got out of it was… “it terms of style, in terms of just general beauty, it just comletely blows away Blue Dragon.” Then I notice a lot more Blue Dragon comparisons come up. It is understandable, but I’d like to think that much like SNES had and then PS2 later, Microsoft could get a good hold on a lot of various RPGs without having to compare them when they have very little similarities.
Just check the video for a lot more info from the guys plus lots of footage, walking and fighting, the battle system will be something to experience. In the end, this may be looking to be a kick ass game for RPG fans, and if you aren’t an RPG fan, this might not be for you. But so far, this game is looking beautiful.

The catch… its a Torrent file. Also, Xbox360Rally is hosting none of these files, so download at your own discretion.
P.S. If you are new to Bit Torrent and need help, see this link for a good tutorial video. If you have any other questions, leave comments on this story and I will try to reply to help you out.

A bulletin recently posted by the official MySpace page of the upcoming 2K title, The Darkness, has clarified several details about the new release. The juiciest of these tidbits is the revelation that a demo is slated to be released before the game hits store shelves. The bulletin notes that the demo won’t be finished in time to make any magazine covers, so it will download only. Currently, the demo is scheduled to arrive approximately 3 weeks before the title debuts on June 25th, so it should be on Marketplace in the first week of June or so.

And to give this entry a little more oomph, here are 16 beautiful screenshots of The Darkness at [xboxyde]. Also remember, Mike Patton is doing many voices in the game, buy based on that alone.

EA Games is having a cool little contest that I think you all will get a kick out of. Between now and June 15th, you can go to the Army of Two website (click here) and design your own firearm. The winner’s weapon will be featured as an unlockabe item in the game.
Here’s how you enter: You go to the site, and submit a drawing of your weapon with a brief description. On June 16th, the designers will pick the two best winners, and they will be featured in the game.
This is a pretty nice little idea on EA’s end. Good job on their end.

Ladies and gents, I come bearing good, Fallout related news! Liam Neeson, the man who has portrayed the second-most bad ass Jedi to ever exist in Qui-Gon Jinn, as well as Henri Ducard/Ra’s Al Ghul in Batman Begins, has signed on to provide his voice in Fallout 3!

IGN pulls out some exclusive info on this great looking title, here are some of the more interesting quotes from the article:
“the overarching theme in Lost Odyssey is “humanity” and the music is being composed to reflect inner emotions. The music director Nobuo Uematsu is nearly done with the music and it will be a big change in style from Mistwalker’s first Xbox 360 RPG, Blue Dragon.”
“Lost Odyssey will have a fixed camera system, though it will move to provide realism through “camera vibration and focus effects.”
“Lost Odyssey will employ a wall system which will require players to ensure that the front guards protect the rear. Enemies will use these formations as well and Mistwalker plans to add an “analog trigger system for physical attacks” to breech the walls.

Graphics. I can say everything is extremely crisp on an HD set, and looks ahead of any other Tetris game I have played on a SD set. Lots of customizing is part of the strong points of the game. See the pic below: (more…)

I haven’t heard of Chair Entertainment before, but thats okay, I like to know there are still new up and coming developers. Their project is called “Undertow” .. it will be brought to you via Xbox Live Arcade downloading (meaning cost effective fun!). The big run down:
•Using the UNREAL 3 Engine(yes, the most overused engine, but you have to admit it is good)
•16 person Multiplayer!
•15 level one player campaign, solo or co-op!
•”.. best described as Geometry Wars meets Battlefield.” - Erik Brudvig of IGN
Ive wrote enough, lets roll the clip, click —> (more…)

Entertainment Weekly gets a solid interview with Shigeru Miyamoto, discussing not only games, but even movies, then getting into real world events. He also takes time to comment on American vs Japanese audiences within gaming, as well as developers not being as creative, here is a few snippits:
