Dan Akroyd Confirms He’s Involved with Ghostbusters Game

I am a huge Dan Akroyd fan. He’s one of my favorite comedians and actors, and I try to read or watch him whenever he does an interview. I find him a fascinating figure and now… he’s officially my favorite man alive. From an article in the Edmonton Sun:
He will, however, be revisiting the role of Dr. Raymond Stantz for a Ghostbusters video game.
“Universal purchased the rights from Sony for a game. I’m actually going to have to perform and do some motion capture for them. That will be next year.”
In short, there WILL be a Ghostbusters game, possibly as early as next year. It could be that Universal acquired the publishing rights to the game, and will allow a different development house to actually create the game. If that is the case, judging by the internet reaction from last month… I can’t imagine anyone outside of Zootfly getting the license for development.
I love Dan Akroyd.
