GRAW 2 Multiplayer Demo Confirmed. At last.

by

GRAW 2 Multiplayer FTW

Remember earlier this week when rumor was abound that GRAW 2 was due “this week?” Yeah, well Ubisoft has confirmed that the multiplayer demo to their upcoming Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2 will be coming to Xbox Live on February 26th. Which is a Monday. The demo will have both deathmatch play (titled “Adversarial”) and cooperative play (oh-so-cleverly entitled “Co-Op”), having one map for each mode.

Also, on February 28th (next Wednesday) between 18:00GMT (100:pm EST) and 21:00 GMT (4:00pm EST), you can get owned by the development team behind GRAW 2. According to the Ubisoft site:

Exciting news! What better way to celebrate the upcoming release of the GRAW2 Multiplayer demo than a match against the devs! The event is set to take place on the 28/02/07 between 18:00 and 21:00 GMT . To take part simply head over to this page now, and register using your Gamertag for the chance to take on the developers . Note. you must be a registered Ubi.com/Forum user and at least 16 years of age to take part. Also you will need to have downloaded the GRAW2 Multiplayer Demo (Coming soon).

You get all that? Just go to the website, register, and leave your e-mail and gamertag. It’s really that simple.

Keep reading after the break for details about the two maps, and to Scot Rubin of All Games Interactive… I win. Monday is next week, isn’t it? Bwah haha, still love the show, though.

Outpost FTW

The deathmatch map (Adversarial) is called “Outpost” looks like a giant guerilla outpost in the middle of the forest. Having two starting points (one for each team, naturally) the two sides will be duking it out over five points of interest, which are all centralized in the middle of the map.

Outpost FTW

The Co-Op map is entitled… well, it’s outpost. Only much larger (and shaped like Australia). Starting at one end of the map, you are forced to complete four objectives before heading to the extraction point which, in typical video game fashion, is at the other end of the map. Those four objectives boil down to, and I quote…

Clear Enemy Encampments
Secure Enemy Outposts
Demolish Missile Components
Collect Intel on Alvaro

There you have it. Next Monday, get your download started early, or you’ll never get it done.
