Japan to get the Elite in October

Even though I love the 360, not even I can deny the fact that the Japanese have turned their noses up at the Microsoft offering to the gaming market… actually, they hate the thing. But apparently the glaring failure in Japan hasn’t stopped Microsoft from trying, as they’ve announced that they plan to release the Xbox 360 Elite this October.

Microsoft has said that they plan to sell the Elite for 47,800 yen, or around $380.

Now, I only have one question to ask — why? You’ve failed on such a massive scale already in Japan, yet you continue to try and make them love the 360? It’s just not going to happen. The Xbox 360 is an amazing console, but there REALLY needs to be an adjustment in how you market it in Japan. The Japanese market isn’t without saving — but it’s pretty damn close.
