This should be entitled the “Slightly-Underwhelming Edition” because, this week, it’s not a very strong line-up for your pleasure. Regardless, there are a few things I caught this week that piqued my interest, and I will now pass them on to you all. So, without further adieu, I present to you… t3h w31rd!
Gary Friedrich Sues Everybody
For those of you who don’t know, Gary Friedrich is the creator of my #3 all-time comic, Ghost Rider. If you also don’t know, he’s suing EVERYBODY! Included in the lawsuit are Marvel, Sony Pictures, Columbia Tristar, Relativity Media, Crystal Sky Pictures, Hasbro, Michael De Luca Productions and Take-Two Interactive. Mill o’ Rumour also reports that he’s suing Santa Claus, Maury Povich and the country of Portugal, but again… just a rumor.
The lawsuit is spawned from claims of negligence in regards to the handling of his character. Considering the last twelve months of Ghost Rider’s life, where his best appearance was in what was, in essence, a walk-on role in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, I don’t blame him for wanting to make heads roll.
On behalf of myself, Xbox 360 Rally, and Ghost Rider fans everywhere… good luck. May you put some dignity back into the Ghost Rider license.
