Bladestorm Gameplay Vid

You know what this means, kiddies — SLOW NEWS DAY! YAY!

I know very little about the upcoming title “Bladestorm”. From what little I’ve seen, it looks like another one of those 1 vs. 1 million titles in the vein of Dynasty Warriors 2-87, or however many there are. (JW Encyclopedia: Dynasty Warriors began as a fighter much like Tekken)

I will say however that the game looks very, very hectic and fast-paced (which is good), and the Medieval setting adds a bit of originality to an otherwise stale formula. After all, if you wanted to hack and slash through millions of enemies on a 3D battlefield, your choices were either “Japanese and/or Chinese History” or “Japanese and/or Chinese Mythos”. It’s nice to see Koei trying something different with this one.

Now, if only we could unlock Robin Hood and his “Merry” Men.
