Free Crap: The Reaping and Eragon

The Profit (note the spelling) Major Nelson has told us of some new, free, useless junk for download over at the XBLMarketplace. Of course, as we all know, we never get anything really worth a damn so this news is really time fill for a pretty slow Xbox week. With that said, here’s this week’s free crap.

First of all, all I know about the upcoming film “The Reaping” is that it has Hilary Swank in it. That’s honestly all I know, and it’s almost enough for me to care. Almost. Regardless, it’s just the latest in a long line of films to take advantage of Xbox Live’s Marketplace (and it’s more gullible customers) for advertisement reasons. For free, you can go and download both the Dashboard Theme and Gamerpic packs for “The Reaping” and show all your friend what a sad, sad person you truly are.

But wait, there’s more!

For you European folks who have yet to be subjected to the God Awful mess that is “Eragon,” you too can get a taste of it’s massive suck by downloading it’s free Dashboard Theme. This offer is for European 360 owners ONLY, I’m happy to say, so we can keep this contained.

All these items are free, and available for download over Xbox Live’s Marketplace, but remember… if you download any of these, you’re part of the problem.
