Forza 2 Sells Out For Your Pleasure - New Free Cars in the Marketplace - Tournament Coming Soon

Wednesday, August 1st, 2007

vrooom

When Forza 2 isn’t being an enabler for the next Klan rally, they are getting payoffs from car companies to bring you the next new product from their car line ups. Okay okay.. that was an extremely sensational statement solely for my amusement, still, coming from the team up of Nissan and Forza are some new free cars for you to download (Nissan models: the 2007 Sentra SE-R, Altima, and 350Z.) After checking them out and suiting them to your personal tastes, on August 10th, register at XboxLiveTournament.com to enter the Sentra SE-R tournament, where a grand prize of a real new Nissan can be had (not too shabby at all). If you aren’t that great at racing but have some creative talent, they are also hosting a paint job tournament. As if that wasn’t enough, also a download of the Peugeot 908 (2nd place in the Le Mans) is available, being the only racecar in the game that is paintable.

YOU DECIDE a Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Achievement

Monday, July 30th, 2007

The Winnar

Capcom, known for being pretty interactive with their fans imo, has had a little contest going on, that is going to be ending on August 1st (Wednesday), Brian Dunn the blogger for Capcom explains the contest so easily a caveman could understand it:

You get to make suggestions and then vote for the best Achievement, which will make it into the final game.

We want to put your thinking caps on and come up with any Achievements you would like to see make it into Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. Post your suggestions for Achievements in the comments section here.

Simple enough, right? Well get to posting your idea (click here to do so!). After they pick 10 of the best ones, Brian will post them up on their forums for you to vote on, the winner’s suggestion will make it into the game! Be creative but realistic with your idea.

Saturday, July 28th, 2007

Where is TONY

The World Cyber Games registration is closed, however, 56 ‘wild card’ spots have been opened up and you can get in if you are good enough… as well as live in Indiana, New York, Texas, California, Florida, or Washington. Luckily I live in Orlando! However, I am not the best in any of these games…

  • Gears of War (Xbox 360)
  • Dead or Alive 4 (Xbox 360)
  • Tony Hawk’s Project 8 (Xbox 360)
  • Project Gotham Racing 3 (Xbox 360)
  • Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars (PC)
  • FIFA Soccer 07 (PC)
  • .. well maybe Tony Hawk (I KEEL YOU in ‘Tag’). Check the page they have set up on CircuitCity.com to see specific dates with each state (August 2nd - Oct 7th). I am attempting to see if I can at the least attend one or more of the events, especially the finals, and hopefully get back with some kind of report, if not, anything they giveaway, I will bring back to the Rally here for a contest of some sorts (for now, have you finished your photoshop to win GTAIV yet!?). Also, check out The Circuit City Forums where Xbox.com’s TriXie and Age of Empires champion MrMilo will be holding a chat Sunday, July 29th, 8-9pm eastern. See the official press release for the event after the break.

Win a TON of Wing Commander!

    Thursday, July 26th, 2007

    tolwyn.jpg

Let’s get one thing straight — Wing Commander is awesome. Even now, it stands as one of the best space shooters to ever exist. Hell, it even made Mark Hammill semi-relevant again for a few years. Now we’re on the verge of a new era in Wing Command, as Electronic Arts has just recently released it’s Wing Commander Arena. To promote their new addition to the Arcade line-up, EA is holding a little contest.

The biggest damn contest I’ve ever seen!

EA is giving one lucky winner a Sega Genesis (w/ Sega CD), a SNES, a 3DO, a Playstation, a Game Boy Advance and a Gateway P1 PC, as well as copies of every Wing Commander available on each console! Oh, that doesn’t include the Xbox 360 Elite and 11,000+ MS Points you’ll be getting.

To enter, go HERE, and you can read the full list of stuff after the break.

    Look what’s on eBay!

    Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

    simpsons-xbox-360.jpg

That’s right, ladies and gents! One of these uber-rare Simpsons Xbox 360 consoles has found it’s way on eBay! The woman, who goes by the eBay name “nyugirl84″ (ARE YOU USERNAME “NYUGIRL84″!? WHERE IS ITEM #180142374199?! WHERE IS THE XBOX?! …Transformers FTW) says that she won it on an episode of TRL, and before you bug me about it — yes, I asked her why she’s decided to sell it. I’m waiting on an answer.

In the meantime, you can check out the auction at eBay, and if you’re wealthy enough… happy bidding.

    [eBay]

    UPDATO MAGNIFICO:

This is a collector’s item and I am not a collector. I am a gamer. As much as I LOVE the Simpsons and ADORE video games, its just not what I’m looking for in a console. I want something that I can drop occasionally and that I can replace if need be. Add to that the fact that its not an elite, which is what I am currently in the market for, and I think I’ve got a pretty sound argument for resale. So its up for auction to the highest bidder.

Grand Theft Auto IV Wants YOU! - Give ‘em a Call (Seriously)

    Sunday, July 15th, 2007

CALL NOWI don’t remember signing up for it, but I am on a Rockstar mailing list of some kind, so I do check it every so often to see what the good word is on the biggest sandbox game (ever?). This particular email was very interesting, linking to WKTTRadio.com. The site poses the questions, “What’s wrong with your health? What’s wrong with the world? What’s wrong with America? What’s wrong with you? and has the number 212-360-2368 with the request for you to “Call the station right now”

After skimming the fine print (link), it seems calls from gamers will in fact be used in the game for the WKTT talk radio station. Very creative idea by the Rockstar peeps. So while you are in the middle of designing our site’s logo for a chance to win a copy of GTAIV, put your thinking cap on to get yourself in the game itself! Good luck, let us know if you get in!

    CONTEST: Design Our Banner!

    Thursday, June 21st, 2007

J.W. here, reminding you all that we’re currently holding a contest. You design a banner for the site, and if you win, you get a copy of GTA IV. If it’s especially awesome, I’ll even splurge a bit and get you the Lock Box edition. Now, here’s what Paco said.
    ——
On Monday, JW made the world aware of a contest here at the Rally. I have had a couple of questions about the contest, on top of we both post Xbox news like mad men, so take this as a reminder of the contest as well!

    Thursday, June 21st, 2007

    microitos.jpg

So you may have heard that Microsoft and Doritos are teaming up to give you, the average Joe-American gamer, an opportunity at fabulous prizes! Here is how it goes: You come up with a Doritos-inspired idea for an Xbox Live game. Should your idea not suck, you may very well be in line to become one of five finalists who will have their games actually be developed into playable demos that will go online for you all to vote on. Winning voter gets their game turned into an Xbox Live game! Read after the break for that press release… thingy…

    Y’all good with photoshop?!

    Monday, June 4th, 2007

    xbox-360-rally.jpg

Listen up, people! We’re having us a little contest, and here’s how you play. You, sitting there at your PC, create a banner for the site. We, sitting here at our PCs, then deliberate amongst ourselves which is the best banner. When Paco and I decide on which one contains the highest levels of awesome, that will become the new official banner for Xbox 360 Rally… dot com.

    The Dimensions: 728×90

Now, all artwork will be considered, but in the end we only have room for one winner. SO… get to work. And make it good.

    UPDATO MAGNIFICO!
How could I have forgotten? The prize, you ask? Grand Theft Auto IV. If it’s especially good, I may just spoil you and buy the damn lock box!

Now, how do you send it? Simple — any way possible. Post a link in the comments, mail us, or paint a giant mural and get it featured on CNN. I don’t care how you get it to us, so long as you just freaking get it to us!

BioShock Limited Edition box art REVEALED!

    Friday, May 18th, 2007

    bioshock-le-art.jpg

Look there, to the left. See that little picture? Click it. It’s the new box art for the Limited Edition of Bioshock. You know about the Limited Edition of Bioshock — hell, you’re the ones who demanded it. Either way, here is the winner of the 2K Games sponsored “BioShock Limited Edition Cover Art Contest.” Visit their site for all the winners and honorable mentions — personally, I like Honorable Mention #4.

The Simpsons Game Announced - PT 3

    Thursday, May 10th, 2007

Okay… not a game this time.

It’s but a few short months until the all new Simpsons Movie, and Microsoft have been kind enough to give gamers the chance to own a limited edition Simpsons themed Xbox 360.

There will only be 100 available, sadly the bad news is that Microsoft, being Microsoft have only made the console available to the US and have taken us Europeans out of the equation.

They are to be part of a Simpsons Movie Competition which should begin in conjunction with the movies release on July the 27th.

    simpsons_xbox360.jpg

(Okay, I think this is enough Simpsons related Xbox to cover the next month or so)

Design a Weapon for Army of Two

    Tuesday, May 8th, 2007

    armyoftwo.jpg

EA Games is having a cool little contest that I think you all will get a kick out of. Between now and June 15th, you can go to the Army of Two website (click here) and design your own firearm. The winner’s weapon will be featured as an unlockabe item in the game.

Here’s how you enter: You go to the site, and submit a drawing of your weapon with a brief description. On June 16th, the designers will pick the two best winners, and they will be featured in the game.

This is a pretty nice little idea on EA’s end. Good job on their end.

    We have a winner!

    Monday, April 30th, 2007

Ok, for the past week or so, X360R has been trying to get rid of a copy of Crackdown. We call it a “contest” and the rules of it were fairly simple: Post your e-mail address.

…how did so many of you [censored] that up? Half of you… HALF OF YOU… didn’t post your damn e-mail, thus DQing you from the contest. A shame because three of you would’ve won, before I finally DID get a winner who followed the bloody rules.

PacoDG, you are the winner, congratulations.

Now, I doubt this’ll be the last contest we have here at the Rally. There are unconfirmed reports that we may have a copy of the Halo 3 Legendary Edition up for grabs sometime near the end of the year. They’re unconfirmed reports at this point because I haven’t paid it off at EB yet. Once it is, though… it shall be confirmed. Either way, next time there’s a contest, please, please, PLEASE… follow the damn rules!

    Who Wants a Free Game?!

    Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Crackdown, for better or worse, has become one of the top games on the Xbox 360 library. If you haven’t bought it already, you have yet another opportunity to get your grubby little paws on it.

    How, you ask? Simple.

I’m giving one away! …more specifically, 451 Press is giving one away, through me. The contest is simple: Just comment on this article with your e-mail, and should you win, we’ll contact you.

Not to mention, in addition to getting a game that can be pretty damn fun to play on it’s own, you’re gonna get your hands on the Halo 3 Beta! So if nothing else, you can be like one of the drones who bought Crackdown solely for the Beta, only YOU would be doing the smart thing and saving $60!

    So enter, dammit!
