BioShock lacking true widescreen support?
You know, I was hoping to get through the day without posting any news on BioShock… unfortunately, nothing else is happening so here I am, at 5pm EST, updating the site with more BioShock news.
Kill me now.
Anyways, here is the deal. You see that image up there? It’s a comparison shot of the Widescreen version of BioShock, and the Fullscreen version of BioShock (the red lines). Notice something? Yeah, the Widescreen, which is supposed to show you MORE of the image, is actually showing you LESS of the image. And gamers are pissed.
Now, as someone who will be playing this game on a 4:3 ratio, this really doesn’t affect me at all. But I can see how those of you with those fancy widescreen HD sets would be pissed. However, this is not a problem that can’t eventually be fixed via a patch or downloadable update, so don’t be getting your panties in a bunch. 2K Games hasn’t officially responded to this yet, but when they do… you know I’ll be here.
Now if you don’t mind me, I’m going to slam my face in a car door to distract me from the pain of having to write another BioShock story.

wtf? so why not play in full screen mode? its just a mode name, nothing special..
