Bioshock, the highest rated game on just about every web site created for games, getting perfect 100% scores with Official Xbox Magazine,
EuroGamer,
Game Informer,
1UP,
Gamespy, 360 Gamer Magazine UK,
Game Chronicles,
Games Radar,
GamePro,and my favorite review of them all from the “
Sony Defense Force” (Note: Sony review is for lulz only, it got a 5/10, but still worth a read). Since the
GameStop pre-order for the limited edition is over, lets see where else BioShock can be had for a cheaper price instead:
Circuit City: $49.99 + Free ’standard’ Shipping = $49.99 (Of course you can just pick this one up in stores)
Buy.com: $59.99 - $10.00 (w/first time Google Checkout users) + Free Shipping = $49.99
Family Video: $52.99 + 99 cent shipping = $53.98
Amazon: $49.99 + Free Shipping = $49.99 (NOTE: This deal has ended! Back to retail price)
A quick note about the Circuit City offer, Best Buy and Sears do price matching (I believe with 10% off the difference as well). I can confirm Best Buy price matching works, as that 1600 MS Points card deal Circuit City had not too long ago, I just went into the store, grabbed the store ad that is right by the front door, and went right up the street to Best Buy where I was able to purchase the cards. So depending on what store you want to support and/or if you want that extra 10% off, that is the way to go.
Let us know of any other deals you spot out on the internets and we will update this page with your name on this page, haven’t you always wanted to be famous!?

Ah! Chaos! Absolute chaos! Ah! The sky is falling! The sky is falling! *pant, pant*
Ok, ok. Let me explain. There seems to be a wee bit of a mix-up regarding the upcoming GOTY BioShock. You see, according to 2K Games, Gamestop, Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-Mart, and everyone else under the sun, BioShock isn’t supposed to be released for another week or so. Yet, there are people playing it right now!

If there was ever a doubt that the 360 was going to win the console race going on, lay those doubts to rest. With the recent string of deals going on with the system, they have something for everybody. Compusa has jumped on this with their deal giving you the very slick looking Madden NFL 08, the Premium system, and a bonus extra wireless controller, all for $349.99 (Compusa Product Page).
Sports games not your thing, there is the Amazon Elite System, HD-DVD player, plus 7 HD movies! All for the price of $599.
Not ready for HD yet, hold out for the holiday season, where they are going to have bundles which include Forza Motorsports 2 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
If your friends don’t have a 360 by now, slap them for me, and then send ‘em a link to this page.

Are you in the market for a new Xbox 360 Elite? If you’re not looking for one for yourself, keep in mind that the holiday season is right around the corner (as is your favorite journalist’s birthday *cough*) so you may be in need for a gift for that special someone. Well, Amazon has you covered.
Amazon is offering an Xbox 360 Elite/HD-DVD Bundle for $599, and includes:
Xbox 360 Elite Console (w/ wireless controller & 120GB HDD)
Xbox 360 HD-DVD Player
King Kong (HD-DVD)
300 (HD-DVD)
Five FREE HD-DVD Movies
That, to put it simply, can not be beat. That’s an $835 value you’re getting at a $235 discount. I don’t know how long this offer will last, so act while you can. You won’t regret it. If nothing else, you can rationalize it to yourself by looking at your PS3, which cost you the same amount as this entire bundle.

Even if you hate the PlayStation 3 as I do, you can not deny that the PlayStation 3 Starter Pack being sold overseas is a good bundle. Hell, a 60GB PS3 with two controllers and BOTH Resistance: Fall of Man and Motorstorm? That’s a good deal.
It’s a bundle that Microsoft has seemingly caught on to as well. Superblog Kotaku recently found two images showing what certainly appears to be the box design for an upcoming holiday bundle.
Both the Xbox 360 Premium AND Xbox 360 Elite (Notice the lack of a Core?) appear to have stickers on the boxes advertising two free games: Forza Motorsports 2 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance.
The original images were found on a Microsoft-owned site, so I would imagine that these images are about as accurate as you can. But the question remains: How much will these cost? Are these games truly free, or will the price of the bundle be inflated slightly to give the impression that they are free? Only time will tell, I suppose.

If you haven’t played through Dead Rising yet, well… you suck. But you’re also missing out on one of the best damn games in the Xbox 360 library.
If you haven’t played it yet, now is the chance to make up for that ugly mistake. Gamestop (pictured above), Best Buy and Circuit City all have Dead Rising listed as $29.99. That’s right: One of the best games in the Xbox 360 library is now a mere $30.
You have no excuse now — if you haven’t bought it yet, do so now.

DEAL IS OVER FOLKS! YOU MISSED OUT! (Thanks Digg user JDoggqx). Looks like Amazon has taken care of the rest of their 360 stock left.
Post in its original form below:

Today on Amazon, the listing for just the Xbox 360 Premium console has seen yet another price drop, already going from $399 to $349, they have cut it down another $20 to bring it to $329 total (no tax no shipping). The best theory on why this is being offered that I have heard so far, is they are clearing out the non-HDMI having units. Either way, I guess if you are reading a 360 site, you might already have one, but, tell your friends and loved ones now might be the time to “Jump In.“

The servers are melting. Paco spilled his cola on the keyboard. JW’s out back trying to wrangle the horses. In short, we’re all kinds of FUBAR, so we may not be able to update as much as we’d like today.
Sorry, peeps. We’ll be back soon.

The game that people claim is the Gran Turismo of the 360, has received a score of 90 or above from most every gaming review source (see for yourself here), has a very decent price drop today only, twenty bucks off. So jump on it. $39.99 will get you the game, brand new, shipped right to your doorstep. Amazon has deals like this every day, but they are definitely not always as good as this one. Right now I am so on the fence about getting this. If anything for the custom car design feature that gets used in such creative ways.

FINALLY! After months of “speculation” regarding the worst-kept secret in the gaming industry, it has finally become official as Major Nelson announced on his blog that the Xbox 360’s price will, indeed, drop for all three SKUs. The price drop will take effect starting on August 8th, and for the moment will only take effect in the United States.
Xbox 360 Elite - $499.99
Xbox 360 Premium - $349.99
Xbox 360 Core - $279.99
For the record, the Halo 3 Special Edition of the Xbox 360 Premium has been announced at $399.99.
In regards to the foreign market and a possible price-cut, Nelson quoted Microsoft’s marketing team:
Today we are announcing a price reduction in the U.S. We will announce other regional price decreases at the appropriate time.

As a soldier in the United States Army, it always tickles me to see that we’re getting special stuff. Microsoft and the USO are teaming up to give soldiers a special treat, as Microsoft has announced a special brown version of their Halo 3 Zune, entited the “Halo 3 Military Edition”.
The Halo 3 Military Edition Zune will be available only at military posts across the world, and will be discounted from the normal $249.99 price tag.
If you ask me, if you truly want to support the military… free. Make everything free.

Yes, you read that right. 7-11 is currently accepting pre-orders for Halo 3. There are at least two known locations where this deal is taking place (Huntington beach, CA and Detroit, MI), and there are likely more.
This begs the question — has 7-11 and Microsoft partnered up to further market Halo 3? Considering that 7-11 has recently had two very successful ad campaigns with both Spider-Man 3 and The Simpsons Movie, it seems very, very likely.
At the time of this writing, neither Microsoft or 7-11 have responded to e-mails.

There has been a lot of controversy regarding a recently posted rumor regarding SEGA’s possible Tokyo Game Show line-up. Now, I was originally very defensive of this piece because of who sent it in. He, a long-time go-to guy named Rob, has sent me exclusive tips for four years, and until this most recent one, they were ALL accurate.
Regardless, after the link had been posted by reader “Cedge”, I immediately contacted Rob via GoogleIM.

Stock up folks. You just don’t know how much those GTAIV extra episodes or Halo 3 multiplayer maps are going to cost. Hell,
Bomberman has those new maps and costumes coming too. The specifics of this deal are right in that pic above, can’t you read!
You buy any two items, you get $20 off. So yeah, you can get a wire headset and 1600 points (= fool!), or spend fifty bucks and get some points and a year of Live.. or a wired headset and Live, the foolish combinations are endless! Seriously though, this deal is good on racking up some points so you can
get all the horse armor your heart desires at half the price, though I honestly personally recommend picking up Bomberman Live for both online and offline fun, maybe some 3D Adventure Golf (yes I am one of the 300 people in the world who bought this.. and love it), or even some Texas Hold Em or Uno, there is really a ton of good choices for XBLA titles, so download demos and see what you like.
This offer is good only until August 4th (This Saturday), I suggest getting on the deal as soon as you can this morning.

Let’s get one thing straight — Wing Commander is awesome. Even now, it stands as one of the best space shooters to ever exist. Hell, it even made Mark Hammill semi-relevant again for a few years. Now we’re on the verge of a new era in Wing Command, as Electronic Arts has just recently released it’s Wing Commander Arena. To promote their new addition to the Arcade line-up, EA is holding a little contest.
The biggest damn contest I’ve ever seen!
EA is giving one lucky winner a Sega Genesis (w/ Sega CD), a SNES, a 3DO, a Playstation, a Game Boy Advance and a Gateway P1 PC, as well as copies of every Wing Commander available on each console! Oh, that doesn’t include the Xbox 360 Elite and 11,000+ MS Points you’ll be getting.
To enter, go HERE, and you can read the full list of stuff after the break.
