College kid gets high, assaults police, blames Saints Row

I love stories about Saints Row, because it gives me an excuse to use that stock photo. But I digress.

Let me sum this story up to you all: Dominic Anderson, a college kid in England, got high with some of his friends and played a little Saints Row. Seems friendly enough, right? Well, I guess his stash was tainted because next thing you know, Anderson is slitting his wrists and trying to stab himself in the chest with a 12″ kitchen knife.

That’s groovy.

At about 11pm local time, Anderson stormed out of his apartment and into the streets. His crazed and bloodied antics included trying to rip people out of their cars, and even hopping onto the hoods of moving cars as he attempted to stab those inside the vehicles through the windshields. Good luck there.

When police arrived, they were forced to take the serial stoner down by beating him sober with an ASP (which is an expandable baton that hurts like Christ).

Conveniently, a stitched and scabby Anderson doesn’t remember a lick of it:

The first thing I remember was waking up in a hospital bed and seeing nurses and police stood around me.

I couldn’t really remember what had happened. It was all a blur. There were bits I could recall but it was like I had been watching myself do all these things and I couldn’t help it.

Here’s the kicker: After getting high as a kite, dabbling in self-mutilation, trying to kill windshields and coming at cops with a damn knife… he got 150 hours of Community Service. That’s it. At least the judge sees this for what it is:

It was your taking of the cannabis that led to this psychotic episode.
