Special Edition of Transformers: The Game a 360 exclusive

When I first heard about the new Transformers movie, I was psyched. Live-Action incarnation of my childhood? Hell yes! …then I heard Michael Bay was gonna direct, and I wanted to weep. I wanted to weep moreso when I saw the first screenshots of the game, but after seeing the trailer… I am starting to get a little hope.

But for those of you who are stoked for Transformers: The Game, I have good news — there’s a Special Edition in the works just for you. Called the “Cybertron Edition”, the special edition will have some nice little features in addition to the game. There are a couple of catches, though. First, it’s an EBGamestop exclusive that will sell for $69.99. Second, it’s an Xbox 360 exclusive. So to you PS3 owners out there, you got hosed. Again. And why are you reading this blog, anyways?

Regardless, read after the break for a rundown of the extra features that will be packaged with the Transformers: The Game: Cybertron Edition!


~The Cybertron Edition will have two bonus ‘Cybertron’ levels (one for each faction) that you can unlock.

~A Special Prequel Comic Book. Volume 1 of 4 movie-based comics, drawn by Transformers GOD Don Figueroa. The comic tells the backstory of both the Autobots and Decepticons on Cybertron, and explains the important of the All-Spark cube, and how it came to be lost.

~A bonus disc that has behind-the-scenes footage, interviews with both Frank Welker and Peter Cullen, the voices of Optimus Prime and Megatron, an increasingly standard “making of” featurette and content from the actual film including TV spots and trailers.
