Xbox Live Bringing it Home - San Diego Comic Con (July 26-Aug 7)

by

Super Dorkio Bros

Being a comic book dork as well as video game geek is a hard thing, thanks to Microsoft, it just keeps getting easier. According to their official site up for the promotion, via the Marketplace you can “…watch the panel discussions, see the footage, and download exclusive themes and trailers, all for a limited time.” Awesome stuff, I am sure they will attempt to bring the focus on game related comic happenings (ie Halo comics, The Darkness, etc).

Right now news is already posted that they will offer a DC Comics theme and a 300 theme, with the claim “More themes every day!” Xbox360Fanboy already has the scoop of a 300 themed Elite Xbox exclusive for the convention, with 10 being given away. I await the news of this sort of attention being brought over to the MegaCon next year. For now though, enjoy this news and check the official press release after the break.

Are you going to be in San Diego this weekend for Comic-Con? If not, fear not!

Xbox LIVE and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group are Bringing Comic-Con 2007 Home to all Xbox 360 owners. To enjoy the show, gamers can connect to the Xbox LIVE online entertainment network and bring everyone together in the living room to enjoy Comic-Con 2007, the preeminent comic, animation and gaming enthusiast event.

From July 26 to August 7, Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com/comiccon will feature full access to all of Warner’s Comic-Con featured game trailers, show panels, movie and TV trailers and sneak peeks, celebrity interviews, show exclusives and customization themes for Xbox LIVE. Plus, action film and comic book fans will have access to an array of exclusive themes from 300 and DC Comics available for download.

Additionally, 300 fans who are attending Comic-con this year are in for two special treats. Warner Bros. will be hosting a special screening of the movie at Petco field for 6,000 conference attendees, all of whom will be entered to win one of ten custom limited edition 300-themed Xbox 360 Elite consoles.

Check out Xbox.com and Xbox LIVE Marketplace for new content arriving on the service.
