WWE Smackdown vs.Raw 2008 announced

Growing up, I used to watch a lot of wrestling. Stone Cold, The Rock, Mankind/Cactus Jack/Dude Love/Mick Foley, they were all some of my absolute favorites. But now, outside of Shawn Michaels and John Cena, there is really nobody in the world of wrestling that I really care about. The one wrestling constant in my universe has always been the WWF Smackdown games. I’ve bought every single Smackdown title, from the original on the Playstation, right up to Smackdown vs. Raw 2007. So it brings me joy to tell you all that Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 has officially been announced.

Some of the features we can expect in SvR 08 include eight distinct fighting styles, which is designed to differentiate the nearly 100 superstars in the game, as well as something called “Struggle Submission System.” I honestly don’t know what the hell it is, but I assume it’s got something to do with the analog sticks.

My gripe with SvR 07 has also been solved, as ECW will now have it’s own brand. New rosters, environmental “hotspots” (I.E. announcer tables, barriers, etc.) and a combined GM/Season mode have all been announced as well. I can hardly contain my glee!

You can expect to find all your WWE goodness this fall on the Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, DS and Wii. Freakin’ sweet.

  1. Spencer Says:

please have rey mysterio and jeff hardy on the game and have more ways to eliminate someone from the royal rumble and the over the top rope battle royal.that’s all i ask. i hope you could take the time to do this.

  2. Spencer Says:

when dx come out, actually have them say d-generation-x. and have the anouncer say what they would say in real life. like; this i a hard core match where there are no count outs, no dq, and falls count anywhere. you know what i’m sayin. and have like as many different matches as possible.

  3. Stone Cold Serious Says:

Stone Cold’s attributes for smacdown vs raw 2008. Strentgh 9 Durability 9 Charisma 10 Hardcore 8.5 Technique 8 Stamina 8.5 Speed 7.Auston should have a beer celebration like on Shut Your Mouth.
Also he should have the t-shirt attire, tucked in t-shirt this time. And I heard that the editors are remaking the characters, in that case make Auston look younger. If Auston is not playable in the 24\7 mode, peaple are gonna be dissapointed so make sure he’s playable.
And one last thing,if for some reason you can’t do this to 2008, FANS WILL BE PISSED OFF.AND THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE,CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO.

  4. Jeffrey Says:

u should put other cool wrestlers on this game that r not wrestling now too, 4 example Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Rhino, and others!

  5. Bill Wellman Says:

I think since it is too late to change anything on Smackdown VS RAW 2008, then U guys should make the Royal Rumble better in the SVR 2009. Make it look more real and make it look awesome.
