Overlord - The Brewery Glitch is Getting Fixed
I know this is probably the most specific news you have ever received (at least since the The Darkness lag patch post), however, it is very important news, on a very great game that you should either have, or have in your GameFly queue. There is a terrible glitch within the game that can literally stop you from finishing the game. Now my brother was able to complete the game without running into the glitch, but myself, I am scared because I don’t always remember about the glitch when I play (50+ hour work weeks, thinking about how I am going to make myself evil is only about 40% of my thoughts during the day). I first read about this glitch at the official Xbox forums, where the thread has now since turned into a sticky post with almost 2500 views hoping people heed the warning. Well the carrier pigeon that was sent out to tell Codemasters about the problem has finally arrived! Rubbergenius, Codemasters Web Editor, Community Liaison & Forumführer, has come through with a post on their cozy official forums with good news and bad news about the glitch:
Many thanks for your continued patience in waiting for the Xbox 360 update, to include a fix for the Brewery Issue.
I’ve been reliably informed that we expect this update will be available within the next four weeks. We’ll be able to confirm a live date once the code is approved, projected to be early next month.
If the timescale for this is amended (for whatever reason) I’ll let you know straight away, although at present any further hold-up seems unlikely.
Again, Codemasters is very sorry to those of you who have been waiting for this update.
There ya go. It will be fixed, but.. you will have to wait for it to go through Microsoft’s certification process for downloads. Lets all hope this will be a separate download from the split-screen mode as not to slow down the arrival of that download.
